Q. How do I keep the drip pans in my stove clean without having to wipe them every time I cook?
A. Use foil inserts designed for this purpose. It is important to clean you stove at least once a month to prevent a build up of grease.
Q. Why does my shower head spray in all different directions?
A. Over time, hard water causes a build up of lime clogs the pores in your showerhead. To prevent this from happening, pour some CLR or Limeaway in a jar and hold the jar up to the showerhead for about three minutes. These products may be used to clean calcium and lime build up off all taps and faucets. Remember to always read all instructions carefully before using any cleaning product and take care to take the necessary precautions including rubber gloves.

Q. I have noticed orange stains in my toilet and tub, what should I use?

A. These stains are also caused by minerals in the water. Using CLR and Limeaway should solve this problem. Using scrub or toilet brush apply the preferred product sever times until the stain is gone. Again, take care to use the proper safety measures while using these products.
Q. My kettle, coffee pot and iron are liming up. What should I use?
A. White vinegar would be the best thing to use to clean these items. www.versatilevinegar.org.
Q. Who does the repairs?
A. We have building contractors. These people see to the plumbing and heating repairs as well as odd jobs inside your unit. We also have a grounds person who takes care of the grounds. So whenever you have a problem in you unit, call or email the appropriate contact and we will assign your work accordingly.
Q. Who cleans the unit?
A. The responsibility of cleaning rests with the tenants living in the unit. Therefore, when you move out, you will be responsible for leaving the unit clean, just as the previous tenant of your unit should have left the unit in “move-in” conditions for you. If the unit is not left clean, we call in a cleaning contractor and the tenant who left is charged accordingly.
Q. Can I paint my unit?
A. No, you are not allowed to paint your unit inside or out. If this rule is ignored, a charge may be levied against you upon your move out
Q. Can I install a television satellite dish?
A. The answer is no, you cannot install a private satellite dish unless you are able to attach it to a freestanding structure on the ground. You cannot affix anything to the side of the building nor can you put it on the roof.
Q. Can I extend my patio area?
A. No, you may not extend your patio area.
Q. May I use nails to hang pictures?
A. No, nails are not permitted. Please use removable 3M hanging devices. If this rule is ignored, charges to repair will be billed to you.

Q. I have noticed black stains in the bathroom on the ceiling, wall and under the counter. I have also noticed these stains in closets and in the kitchen and basement. What is it?
A. The black stains are mould and mildew. You can, and should, clean these areas with a solution of one (1) part bleach to five (5) parts water.
